Fashion focuses temporary on a body part or another – the waist, the bust or the legs, the front or the back view etc. Now, fashion pays attention to the hips. And there’s no part of the woman body more sexy than the hips – I totally agree with that.
Apart from the bodysuits and various swimwear outfits, there are also some great dresses created by Haider Ackermann and Nicolas Andreas Taralis, in their Fall 2011 collections.
Nicolas Andreas Taralis is a Canadian-born designer / he studied at Parsons and then in Vienna under Helmut Lang / he worked for Dior Hommes and Cerruti / Taralis launched his own label in 2003 / currently, he’s showing his collections in Paris… and I think he’s one of the best new designers.
Taralis’ world is something special, it’s both about sobriety and about romance. Remember the monk inspiration haircut and the Adso (of Melk) – styled look from a past collection? Or the bloody shirts that he designed for Fall 2011? The designer adores black suits & white shirts, adores leather, sheer, jersey and denim, and loves to work them out & give them a twist. Here are some looks from Nicolas Andreas Taralis S/S 2011 collection. I love the cuts, the layering and all those beautiful hems.
