În ultima vreme, am văzut cum toti marii designeri ( şi idolii primelor mele vise despre moda) , sunt expusi, rand pe rand, in diferite muzee ale lumii. Chalayan, Margiela, Yamamoto, McQueen… şi acum Gaultier. O data cu asta, realizez ca putem vorbi despre sfarsitul unei ere in moda. Asta inseamna ca trebuie să ne oprim un pic, să ne uitam în jur, să analizam şi să mergm mai departe, spre alte si alte orizonturi „fashion”.
Muzeul de Arte Frumoase din Montreal a deschis prima expoziţie internaţională dedicată celebrului couturier francez Jean Paul Gaultier, extinsa din 17 iunie pana pe 2 octombrie 2011.
Expoziţia a fost organizată în şase secţiuni (dotate cu titluri ca la carte), un soi de cartografiere a universului artistic al lui Gaultier, pentru a oferi o perspectiva ampla asupra contributiei sale „from the sidewalk to the catwalk” :
